Hello again everyone, my name is Yiannis Ioannides. I was born in Châtenay-Malabry, France, on the 11th of May in 1987. I have been living in Greece ever since I was very young.
So... music... Let's talk about that now.
Being into Berklee College Of Music in Boston, MA, as an ELPD major (Electronic Production and Design) and of course, interacting everyday with many musicians, I see that people come from different backgrounds and have a story to tell. Here's mine. The thing I love the most about music is the variety and challenges I have experienced up until now; From early progressive rock ideas I used to transcribe in MIDI to recent and confident compositions in many fusion genres which I personally love like orchestral drum 'n' bass, nu-jazz and of course, my ultimate inspiration, video game music.
Video games and music always seemed to have this connection for me. Ever since I was young, the thing I noticed the most in video games - especially Japanese RPGs which I really love - was the music, and coincidentally, I loved music in video games. Of course, now in 2010, my love for video game music has grown from a guilty pleasure to my future professional aspiration in the video game industry as a video game music composer, humbly following the steps of my role models, like Masashi Hamauzu, Isamu Ohira, Junya Nakano, to name a few.
I am currently working on my first major Xbox 360 release, among many other video game/film/animation projects, and I'm always seeking for professional or amateur media projects, like video games, short films, anime, among a variety of other scoring projects, so if you are interested, contact me and let's make together something memorable!
